Here's the Next One

Another miter. Turquoise and Cream. So pretty. I'd love an entire blanket with just these two colors. This piece is making me want to knit more and more and more . . . but . . .

My son M. is off to Washington, D.C. tomorrow morning with his 8th grade class. He has to be at school at 5:45 AM. Yuck. Painful. I've got to get him packed up, check-listed, and to bed. Then me, too. He's so excited about the trip, he probably won't sleep.

I remember my 8th grade trip to D.C. I know I had a good time and enjoyed touring all of the places they take 8th graders, but my fun was seriously dampened and darkened by a particularly horrible perm. I looked terrible and felt even worse. That's what happened in the 7o's when you went to Al's Fashionette for a permanent wave. You became semi-permanently hideous. Don't even want to think about it.

M. just went for a haircut on Saturday. He looks great. Lucky boy.
