Bouncy Balls

Last night, after our visit with the Yarn Harlot, my fellow SnBers and I walked down the street to Madison Wool. It's a really cute yarn shop - just one room - but there was a whole lot of beautiful yarn. Once I picked up a ball of Soxx Appeal, I had to buy it. It's squishy and bouncy and I couldn't stop squeezing it. Quite a few other people felt the same way, because they bought some, too. It's made by Knit One, Crochet Too and it's 96% superwash Merino wool, 3% nylon, and the kicker, 1% elastic. The elastic makes it squishy. Bouncy balls.

I couldn't wait to see what it would look like knit up, so I made a mini-swatch. I like that it's not stripey - it's variegated, so I think I feel another modified no-purl Monkey coming on.

And now for the cuteness . . . Emmie in a box:

I *love* that yarn! In the skein *and* knit up! You know I couldn't stop touching it in the store!
That will look gorgeous in a sock! I will have to think about this yarn seriously when I buy sock yarn next.

I keep squeezing it. Can't help it. It's the best stuff. I have two unfinished socks on the needles, but I'm dying to start a new one with this yarn. I'm trying to restrain myself.
